A digital library succeeds when students can find relevant resources, use them easily and return to where they left off. Ensonic’s eLibrary — Smart Learning Hub is a locally deployable learning-resource management platform for schools, colleges, coaching institutes and libraries.

We begin with your resource sources, student access patterns, server and LAN readiness, user administration, content permissions and training. Class Flow remains a complementary classroom viewing application; the institutional library has its own access and administration requirements.

A local server and LAN can provide access to eligible locally stored material. External portals and resources that are not locally available may still require internet access and third-party credentials.

Bring Permitted Resources into One Organized Portal

Smart Learning Hub organizes institutional material and access points to educational resources. NCERT, DIKSHA, National Digital Library of India (NDLI), UGC e-Resources, Free Books, engineering, MBA and institute repositories are potential resource sources to review, not a promise of bundled content or official integration.

Content may be stored on the local server only where the provider or applicable rights/licence allows it. A link, embedded view, permitted local copy and cached resource have different access and redistribution conditions. Agree the source-by-source rights, attribution and login requirements before implementation. No government or provider endorsement is implied.

Administration and Activity Reporting

Administrators can manage users and roles, content visibility, licence information and institute branding, and review backup and server-health information. Resource views, time-spent indicators, favourites and activity history can inform collection planning and management review.

These are resource-engagement indicators, not proof of learning outcomes, grades or academic progress. Ask for sample reports and definitions of each metric, including how inactivity and shared devices are handled.

Readiness Documentation for Institutional Review

The UGC / PM-USHA / RUSA readiness dashboard and CSV export support institutional review and documentation. Confirm indicator definitions and the exported fields during a demonstration. Scheme eligibility and statutory requirements remain subject to the relevant authority's assessment.

Plan Local-Server and LAN Deployment

  1. Identify user groups, approximate simultaneous users and resource formats.
  2. Review server, storage, network and representative client devices.
  3. Document content rights and distinguish local resources from online-only access.
  4. Demonstrate search, reading continuity, roles and reports with representative material.
  5. Test the agreed local functions with internet disconnected.
  6. Agree backup/restore, updates, administrator onboarding and support scope.

Offline availability applies only to compatible, permitted locally available resources. Server specifications, supported operating systems, browser compatibility, capacity and commercial terms must be confirmed for the proposed deployment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will every resource work without internet?

No. Compatible, permitted local resources may remain accessible over the institutional LAN. External portals and online resources can require internet connectivity, third-party credentials and separate permissions.

Are third-party textbooks and repositories included in the software licence?

Do not assume so. Review content ownership, provider terms, attribution and access rights for each source. Organizing access does not establish redistribution rights.

Can administrators review student activity?

The platform includes resource views, time-spent indicators, favourites and activity history. Review metric definitions and access permissions; these reports do not establish learning outcomes.

Does the readiness dashboard guarantee funding eligibility?

No. It supports documentation and review, not certification, approval or guaranteed eligibility for a scheme.

What should we bring to a demonstration?

Share institution type, approximate users, resource formats, existing server/LAN facilities, location and access requirements. Use sample material cleared for demonstration.
